Precious Steps Pre School Story

Who We Are

Welcome to Precious Steps Pre-school, my name is Helen and I am the proprietor manager of the setting. Precious Steps has been established since January 2015 I have been in the profession for twenty-four years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

During this time, I started as a volunteer parent working my way up to management; always, striving to provide the best practice possible. In October 2021 our Ofsted inspection graded us OUTSTANIDNG, this was not just down to me but my amazing team, I have always said my best resources are my staff.

Inclusive Practice Precious Steps are committed to ensuring that our service is fully inclusive in meeting the needs of all children. We work to the requirements of the Special Educational Needs & Disability code of practice (SEND 2015). We have an experienced Inclusive Co-ordinator who works closely with the parents and any outside agencies that maybe required.

What We Do

Precious Steps Pre-school aims to:

  • Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment where children learn through play making friends along the way.

  • Provide high quality care and education for children from two years to four years.

  • Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;

  • Add to the life and well-being of the local community; and

  • Offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

We are exclusive to the area with our flexibility for drop off and collection times; parents & carers are able to drop off at 8.30am, 9am or 9.30. Children must stay for a minimum of two and a half to the maximum of seven hours and can be collected flexibly from pick up times. We accept 2 year funded children, 3-4 year funded children, private fee paying, childcare vouchers we also offer 15/24/30 hours funded.

At Precious Steps we continually assess our practice and if there was a majority requirement for opening later then we would endeavour to meet your needs.

We are open Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm

Why Not See For Yourself?

Have a Look Around

We believe the best way to get a feel for a Pre-School is to visit and see us in action.
We would be more than happy to provide a tour of our Pre-School so you can see how happy our children are.
