Starting April 2024, the government is extending a helping hand to working parents with a new scheme that could cover up to 15 hours of free childcare. However, there's a vital step to be taken to leverage this offer: submitting your eligibility code to Helen by March 31st.

First, visit Childcare Choices to determine if you qualify for the 15 hours of free funding. This program is aimed at working parents, but it also accommodates families where one partner is employed and the other is receiving certain benefits, such as carer's allowance for a child with DLA.

2. Create a Government Childcare Account:

If you're uncertain about your eligibility, we recommend setting up a government childcare account This account not only allows you to check your eligibility but also is a gateway to receiving tax-free childcare

Maximising your benefits

For families who qualify, the government’s tax-free childcare scheme offers up to £2,000 a year in support. For every £8 you pay into your childcare account, the government will add an extra £2. This process is straightforward: deposit your contribution into the account, enjoy the government’s top-up, and then direct the payments to us. It’s crucial to provide Helen with your payment reference to ensure your contributions are correctly accounted for. We also accept childcare vouchers. These are in addition to any eligible funding options.

Important Reminder for Current Families

If your child is already benefiting from the 2-year funding or the universal 3&4-year-old funding, remember to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months. This step is essential to continue receiving your funding without interruption.
